Meryl Streep's Golden Globes Gown is Perfection

by Alexa Tucker

Incredible actress/undeniable goddess Meryl Streep is proving, yet again, what timeless glamour looks like. The Hollywood icon wore a black and white draped gown to the 2015 Golden Globes and, as always, looked as if she was just made for award shows. Streep always looks totally at-ease in front of hundreds of cameras, like she knows she belongs there (which she obviously does), and that makes whatever she's wearing look 100 times better, including this number.Steep earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in Into The Woods, and as much as I loved her fellow nominees (heart you, Emma Stone) and winner Patricia Arquette, Streep is the queen. She could have taken home every award, including the Best Actor nods, and I'd argue that she earned all of them.

Streep loves her drape-y gowns, and I've come to expect them from her — after all, there's nothing wrong with having a signature red carpet look. So while her choice tonight was unsurprising, I still loved it. This dramatic ensemble fit her gracious yet glamorous ambiance perfectly.

The final verdict? I think Miranda Priestly would approve.
