Allison Brought Some Red to the Carpet

Finally, a break from all that cream and black! At the 2015 Golden Globes, Allison Williams wore a red Armani gown that blew the rest of the dresses out of the water. The Girls star isn't always one for taking risks on the carpet, so I was stoked to see her dramatic crimson gown when she stepped up to chat with Ryan Seacrest.

Williams and the rest of the Girls cast were nominated for Best TV Comedy, and she certainly dressed the part of a winner. Williams' isn't exactly known as a statement maker, and Twitter was quick to cheer for how decidely un-boring her gown was Sunday night. Sure, the tiered, sparkly, floor-length gown seems a bit over-the-top compared to most of the rest of the dresses that hit the carpet for the Globes. Even Williams agreed that it was slightly ostentatious, saying, "It's so heavy, but it's worth it!"

Hey, I'm super into the look. Paired with a smattering of silver and diamond jewels, plus sleek, retro pin curls and a pretty smoky eye, the outfit is completely appropriate for the first big awards show of the 2015 season. If this is how Williams starts the year, I can't wait to see what she pulls out for the Oscars.
