The 2015 Oscar Nominations Are Out, See Who Made the Cut

After Sunday night's Golden Globes, we are officially in the full swing of awards season, and the big announcements just keep coming. I am, of course, talking about the 2015 Oscar nominations which were revealed Thursday morning, bright and early. If you were up at 8:30 a.m. and probably skipping work, then you might've seen Chris Pine, J.J. Abrams, Alfonso Cuarón, and Academy president Cheryl Boone announce the nominees yourself over a nice cup of coffee. But if not, you're in luck, because we've got your Oscar nominees right here. (We don't have Chris Pine though. Sorry!)

From a movie about civil rights leader Martin Luther King to a movie about former Batman, I mean Birdman, this year's nominated flicks take on a wide variety of subjects. There were some surprises and, as always, some snubs, but either way, you now have your complete list of movies to go watch really quickly so you can pretend to be a film buff as Oscar night approaches.

Here are the 2015 Academy Award nominees, so get betting on who you think will take home a statuette come February 22.
