In the 80s, nothing came between Brooke Shields and her Calvin's. (She meant the jeans, not the undies.) But like everything else in our cyclical culture and fashion, both Shields, with her glorious mane of chocolate-hued hair and her thick brows (which pre-date Cara Delevingne's) and her Calvin's (at least in undies form) are back in style. Now, Brooke Shields is the new face of WEN Hair Care. Actually, make that the new "head" of the follicle-focused brand. The actress rocked a MAC campaign last year, so she is clearly a resurgent beauty icon.

Shields teamed up with WEN for obvious reasons —she was looking for a product to counteract years of damage caused by all that coloring, processing, and heat styling. As an actress and model, she put them strands through the ringer. She was a fan of the brand's Cleansing Conditioner, which is a single product that replaces shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner in one fell swoop and without the lather or sulfates. And thus a relationship was born!

"I knew for a long time that my hair was damaged but finding the products that took out all of the guesswork was difficult. When I met Chaz Dean and tried WEN Hair Care for the first time, I knew I had found something revolutionary," Shields confessed in a press interview.

She continued, "I've been introduced to countless products throughout my career but WEN's Cleansing Conditioner and Nourishing Mousse are my new must-haves. They make me feel as if I can turn back the clock on my hair! WEN has helped my hair become healthy again."

You cannot deny that Brooke Shields remains defined by her glossy and still-thick mane. It looks so lush and luxurious. She might inspire you to try WEN's Cleansing Conditioner, which is part of the whole anti-shampoo shampoo movement.

These are three other key reasons Brooke Shields' beauty icon status has been surging.

1. Her Eyebrows Have Always Been On Fleek

Bold and bushy brows are in right now, sure, but Shields has always rocked 'em. She's never favored a skinny, overly 'scaped brow and she is the OG thick brow icon.

2. She is And Remains an Unusual Beauty

Shields is also unconventionally gorgeous, thanks to the previously mentioned hair and those full lips. She doesn't look like anyone else and has never been ordinarily or simply pretty. She's a knockout who proved brunettes could have just as much fun as their fair-haired friends.

3. She Has Aged So Gracefully

Shields appears to be aging gracefully and naturally. In an era during which so many celebs are proud of their nipping and tucking, she looks so, so real and natural, and, in a word, beautiful.

While I have you here, enjoy a little TBT action with Shields' scorching, "Whoa!"-inducing Calvin Klein ad. That whistle, though!

What a stunner —then and now.
