Anyone in the mood for some TV spoilers? Good, because you've come to the right place, especially if you're looking for spoilers on Agent Carter . With a brand new episode premiering Tuesday, it's time to chat all things Peggy, Jarvis, Howard, and everyone else involved in the fantastic series showcasing a woman as the hero we all wish we could be. Amiright?
Well, I was fortunate enough to chat with actor James D'Arcy, who plays Edwin Jarvis, about the series, his character, and pick apart his mind about the Marvel series. If you're wondering, yes, he was kind enough to offer up some details about future episodes. To be clear, he couldn't give away too many spoilers, but that doesn't mean we don't have a lot to talk or speculate about, which is something fans are used to doing with Agent Carter anyways.
With that said, if you've been hoping to get some more scoop on Jarvis' wife, his relationship with Howard Stark, all those secrets and separate agendas Stark seems to be hiding, and what's to come in the remaining episodes, keep reading, because D'Arcy touched a bit on all of those elements.
Will We Ever See Jarvis' Wife?
So far, we've heard about Anna Jarvis and we've also heard her speak, but will we ever see her in the flesh? According to D'Arcy, he can't reveal that information. He says, "I’m not allowed to say. All I can say is lots and lots of people have asked me about my wife in the show and that’s great with two off-camera lines this character has created…I’m just literally forbidden to discuss it." Well, if they do ever show her, does he have anyone in mind he'd like to play her? With a laugh he replies, "Again, I can’t answer that question, because any answer I give you will you tell you whether or not you see her…I’d love to give it away, but Marvel will fire me."
Will Jarvis Ever Betray Stark?
I think we can all agree that Jarvis pretty much knows all there is to know about Stark. He would certainly be the one to interrogate if any bad guys out there are looking for information, and D'Arcy also agrees. He says, "Yeah, I think Jarvis holds the key to pretty much all of Howard’s life. I think there’s not much he doesn’t know."
But would Jarvis ever betray Stark? Maybe open up to Peggy and reveal all of Stark's secrets? D'Arcy couldn't provide too many spoilers without giving anything away, but he does say, "That is a very interesting question, and there is no easy way for me to answer it without giving you a spoiler, so I’m going to have to duck it, but it’s great that you’re asking the question...Your question is completely valid, our writers have also asked it, and there will be an answer to that question, but I can’t give it to you on the phone right now."
What Does The Future Hold?
After Tuesday's episode, there are only three left. Three?! It can only get more crazy from here on out, right? D'Arcy promises the upcoming episodes won't disappoint. He teases, "It becomes more intense. The stakes are raised more dramatically with each progressive episode, and in a way you’re not really going to see it coming. If you watch the first of a Tuesday episode, you sort of feel like it’s one particular type of show, and suddenly we found all of Howard’s bad babies at the end of Episode 3," he says.
"So, it’s [done] deliberately, and the rug is pulled out from under your feet. Our writers are very clever at continuously ripping that rug out. And, then, there’s another even more beautiful rug underneath it…My feeling, obviously, having read all the episodes, is that if you’re enjoying the show, you’re going to be incredibly satisfied by how this all [ends] up, but you just have to trust the process."
Who else is pumped for the rest of Agent Carter? D'Arcy definitely kept me interested with his reveals, just he does every Tuesday as Jarvis.
