We were all waiting for Johnny Depp and Amber Heard to tie the knot this weekend, but, apparently, it's already been said and done: According to E!, Heard and Depp were married in Depp's Hollywood home, before heading to the private Bahaman island where the ceremony was expected to take place this weekend. Sneaky, sneaky!
Was this the plan all along? Did we get completely duped? Perhaps they wanted to get the boring official ceremony stuff out of the way so that the party could rage on once their guests arrived for the ceremony that was actually anticipated to occur during the weekend. Making this seem most likely: Us Weekly reports that a second service will apparently take place as planned on Depp's island over the weekend. So, yeah, they're basically just like Jim and Pam on The Office having two weddings, which is adorable. And hey — I can understand the desire to do something so personal out of the public eye. Johnny Depp has always been a very private person.
The Mortdecai star has been dating the actress, who will next be seen in Magic Mike XXL, since 2012. Their engagement was officially announced in January 2014. Considering how secretive they've been in the past with their relationship, a stunt like this doesn't seem all that surprising, in retrospect — and I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see the pictures.
