Where Can We Get Dakota Johnson's Coat, Y'all?

by Catie Keck

You know what pairs incredibly well with this Northeast winter weather? Dakota Johnson in a leopard print coat, that’s what. Ahead of the 50 Shades of Grey premiere, the movie's star arrived at LAX looking quite the part in a casual ensemble, pairing animal print accents with stonewashed skinny denim and a cream basic on top. Her oversized sunglasses and accessorized bodyguard affirm her arrival as a Very Important Person. And let me just be the first to ask -- where the hell can we get one of those coats?

Certainly part of Johnson’s charm is her accessibility, no? She materialized seemingly out of nowhere, and yet she’s managed to handle being catapulted into the limelight with astonishing grace. Amid editorials asserting that the 50 Shades narrative is both sexist and demeaning, Johnson told Glamour, “I completely disagree with people who think Ana’s weak. I think she’s actually stronger than he is. Everything she does is her choice. And if I can be an advocate for women to do what they want with their bodies and not be ashamed of what they want, then I’m all for that.” (Whether or not this stands to reason is of course a matter of opinion.)

The film will be screened publicly beginning Saturday, February 14th, holy day of obligation for single people nationwide.
