These days, you can turn just about anything into a drinking game, from last week's episode of The Bachelor to even the State of the Union address, so it comes as absolutely no surprise to me that Cut Video turned the totally innocent game of Truth or Dare into a drinking game imaginatively named Truth or Drink. The Cut filmed couples playing Truth or Drink, where one partner would ask the other a series of intimate questions that the other partner could either answer, or pass by taking a drink. Being a former college student and sorority girl, I thought I'd played all the fun drinking games there were to play, but boy, was I wrong!
I can't even sit here and pretend like Truth or Drink doesn't look like the best way to spend your Valentine's Day. And the best part is, you can play it if you're single or if you're in a relationship (Galentine's Day pregame, anybody?). In other words, I know what I'll be doing later tonight when I finally get back from my 9pm dinner reservation (that is, if I don't starve first).
There are so many moments in the video that made me laugh out loud (literally), it's hard to pick just a few. But somebody's got to write about the hard stuff, so why not me? Here are some of my favorite moments from the video:
When this guy came up with an awesome save to the question, "When was the last time you masturbated, and where was I?"
When the producer's mom totally kept it real when asked, "What would you think if you caught me watching porn?"
When they determined the proper amount of time to wait for your loved one if he/she goes into a coma
Another person answered "three years," so let's say two years is a safe bet. Good to know we've established a standard.
When the director's grandpa showed his wife the proper way to take a shot
"Over the lips and past the gums, look out stomach, here it comes!" I am totally using that from now on! (And you can, too!)
If you thought that was funny, just wait until you watch the whole thing. Check it out below for some much-needed V-day chuckles.
