Red carpet fashion is often incredibly dull, but there are some celebs whose awards show appearances I wait for with bated breath. Emma Stone is one of those celebrities. Stone, who's nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her stellar performance in Birdman, has impeccable style. She's come a long way sartorially from her early days on the press tour for Superbad when she rocked some truly blah early '00s looks. Lately, the actress has been praised by style critics and fashion bloggers alike for her quirky-cool take on formalwear and her penchant for pairing menswear-inspired pieces with hyper girly elements.
Needless to say, I was pretty excited to see what Stone would wear to celebrate the first (but almost certainly not last) Oscar nomination of her career. The fabulous redhead certainly did not disappoint when she hit the red carpet looking like a regular Daisy Buchanan in a stunning yellow gown before tonight's ceremony. The very Gatsby-esque Elie Saab featured dramatic all-over beading and a super high slit. The long sleeves and boat neck created a surprising silhouette that pretty much made the look.
My favorite aspect of this ensemble might actually the wavy up 'do, but I may be biased since I think redheads are totally charming.
Ugh, you're killing it out there, Stone!
