Cameron Diaz Likes Sex — A Lot
Since their whirlwind romance and surprise wedding, Cameron Diaz and new hubby Benji Madden have been seen around town looking like quite the adorable pair. They've been all smiles and smooches, and while the newly wed glow can account for this, I have reason to believe that there is a little something something extra that is adding to this aura. In her just released cover for Cosmopolitan UK 's April 2015 issue, Cameron Diaz sat down with the magazine and shared that sex is absolutely one of the keys in her life to staying happy and fit. She explained, "It’s something healthy that we need to be doing for many different reasons."
Throughout the years, it has been quite apparent that Diaz is very proud and open with her (sometimes "controversial") views on sex and love, and that is something beautiful and to be praised, especially since she's an actress who is no longer 22 years old. As Jennifer Lopez has shared, just because a woman is in her 40s, that does not mean that she becomes a dried up thing completely devoid of confidence and sexuality.
Diaz has not shied from sharing her opinions on how important sex is and should be for women of all ages and backgrounds, and here are some inspiring quotes that show the actress is paving the way for women to talk candidly about their sex lives because, quite frankly, we have every right to.
When She Said Sex Is Her Fountain of Youth
Diaz told British Vogue in 2010:
The fountain of youth [for me], let's see... I guess it's exercise, healthy diet, lots of water, lots of laughter, lots of sex — yes, sex, we need that as human beings. It's healthy, it's natural, it's what we are here to do!
When She Said We Need To Nurture Our Vaginas
The vagina has had many euphemisms throughout the span of history, but Diaz's description of the vagina on Chelsea Handler's show was actually quite vivid and beautiful, to be honest. She said,
For me, the vagina is such an integral part of the body. We think the vagina is on the outside. Get in there. Learn about it... You're supposed to treat it like a beautiful flower — that it is, the delicate flower that it is. And you're supposed to nurture it in all the ways that it needs nurturing... It's hungry.
When She Wasn't Shy About Using Her Sexuality
In an interview in 2014 while promoting The Other Woman, Diaz shared her thoughts on female sexuality, saying,
That’s part of nature. We’re animals, and on a certain level that comes innately to us... It’s like birds; they have feathers for a reason. Their plumes, the color of their feathers changes at different times of the year, they fluff them up, they spread them out, they preen. Every animal has that instinct. It is because we are meant to procreate and that’s part of procreation, making ourselves attractive to another person... I don’t think that’s a bad thing.
When She Totally Supported Traveling For A Booty Call
Hey, you know, sometimes you have to take care of business and if you thought getting in a cab at 3:00 a.m. was shameful, Diaz is here to tell you it is ALL GOOD GIRL. She told Playboy ,
Oh gosh, I can't even count how many times I've gotten on a plane for love. It's not unusual in this business; my lifestyle demands it. I'm always traveling for [whispers] c--k. You've got to go where it is.
When She Spoke Of Her Outdoor Sexual Adventures
She also shared with Playboy her animalistic instincts, saying,
I’m primal on an animalistic level, kind of like, "Bonk me over the head, throw me over your shoulder. You man, me woman." There’s something about moonlight on the body and things happening sort of free and open... I love to cuddle. I love physical contact. I have to be touching my lover, like, always. It’s not optional. It’s an absolute. My lover is everything to me.
