Chris Brown's Girlfriend Responds to Baby Drama

The unfolding Chris Brown baby drama is only getting more dramatic. On-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran just announced via Twitter that she’s bowing out for good. Reports surfaced yesterday that Brown is the father of a 9-month-old little girl and that Brown has been aware of the child’s existence for some time. The mother of the baby is a former model named Nia, who has known the 25-year-old-musician for a number of years. The original report from TMZ claimed that Nia, 31, and Brown were on good terms but not romantically linked, but left us to wonder about the reaction of Karrueche Tran, the 26-year-old model and stylist who Brown has been dating on and off for the last four years.

We can now get a sense of how she’s responding to this bizarre news: In a Tweet posted this morning, Tran writes, “Listen. One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me.” Her tweet tells us a couple of things about what’s going on. First, it seems to confirm the previously-unconfirmed news that Brown is indeed the father of the child; Second, it suggests that Tran did not know about Brown’s paternity until the news broke yesterday. Brown and Tran have had a tumultuous relationship since they started dating in 2011: They broke up very publicly in December when Brown openly accused Tran of cheating on him with Drake, announced was single at a concert by yelling “F*ck that B*tch!”, and then apologizing on Instagram (charming, right?). They later reunited.

This situation keeps getting crazier as rumors continue to fly and more people get involved (including, apparently, the man who thought he was Brown’s baby’s father). Tran’s choice to stay the hell away from it seems like a good decision all around.
