You Must See Natalie Dormer's Sequin Turtleneck

by Sienna Fantozzi

For anyone who thinks turtlenecks are basic and boring, this one is sure to change your mind. Natalie Dormer wore a sequin turtleneck, and as bizarre as it sounds, the shimmering sleeves will have you clamoring for one last winter day to try this statement shirt out. (And you know that's a bold declaration, because who isn't ready for spring to hurry up and arrive?)

The Game of Thrones star attended the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty Exhibition on Saturday night, and in honor of the late McQueen, Dormer played up the sparkle. The 33-year-old was classic in all black, with flared trousers and a tuxedo-style, double breasted vest, but the simplicity didn't detract from the dazzle underneath. The black turtleneck was covered in sequins, from the neck all the way down to the sleeves. It was understated glamor; the way to wear sequins without bordering on a costume. Natalie kept her accessories simple, with open-toed heels, a black clutch, and dark painted nails, and her blonde hair was smoothly blown out.

Overall, the look was sophisticated, but still had a bit of edge to it. But then again, I've kind of come to expect nothing less than sartorial perfection from Natalie.
