5 Times Kendall Jenner Showed Her Dad Love

by Jaclyn Anglis

Kendall Jenner is sticking by her father, no matter what. The 19-year-old model and reality star seemingly broke her silence on rumors that her father, Bruce Jenner, may be preparing to come out as transgender by showing support. In an interview with Us Weekly, Kendall Jenner did not confirm or deny the rumors about Bruce, but she did confirm one thing — that her love for him would remain intact no matter what.

(Update: On Thursday, March 19, Us Weekly issued a statement saying they retract their Kendall Jenner interview. In part, it reads, "We would like to retract the story entirely and have removed it from our website. We sincerely apologize to Ms. Jenner and her family.")

She said,

I love my dad. He's always been there for me and my sisters. He's a wonderful man. And just because he's changing shoes now, so to speak, doesn't make him less wonderful. I will always love my dad, whether he's a man or a woman.

The interview was released Wednesday morning, and on Wednesday afternoon, Kendall tweeted, "how is it legal for someone to 'quote' someone and publish it if in fact you never said what was quoted." She followed it up saying, "Shame on US Weekly for making up quotes. I NEVER said those things. I never spoke to them." It's unclear what exactly is happening here at this point, since Us Weekly has kept their original story published on their site without an update.

That said, it is certainly worth applauding Kendall for sticking up for her father in general, because she's done so outside of this interview. For anyone who's a fan of Kendall, this should not come as a surprise. After all, she has already shown support and love to Bruce in many other ways. And if Bruce does indeed come out, I'm sure Kendall will be there cheering on the decision. Check out the roundup below to see some other times when Kendall showed Bruce some love.

During Her Interview Magazine Shoot

In the July 2014 issue of Interview, Kendall called Bruce a "hero" in her life. She said, "My dad is my everything. He always had the craziest speeches for Kylie and me growing up, good words to live by." High praise! According to Kendall, the best advice Bruce has given her is, "Dream big, work hard."

After Kris & Bruce Divorced

After it was announced that Bruce and Kris Jenner would be divorcing after 22 years of marriage, Kendall took to Instagram to share a throwback picture of the two with a simple heart emoji. This could be a way of showing her steadfast love and support for both of her parents, regardless of whether they are in the midst of happy times or the tough times.

When She Emphasized Happiness

Some time after the split, Kendall opened up to Nightline and emphasized the importance of everyone remaining happy afterward. She said, "I still am so close with both my dad and my mom. Nothing has really changed, except for the fact that now my dad lives on a beach, which is awesome. That’s not that bad... everybody’s happy."

Bruce's Birthday

Kendall helped Bruce celebrate his big day in Malibu with some of the rest of the Jenner and Kardashian families. By the looks of it, he seemed to really appreciate the gesture. Not to mention, soaking up the sunshine is always a good way to celebrate!

Hanging With The Whole Fam

Kendall and some of Bruce's other favorite ladies posed in this shot captioned "Family." Though it may seem simple, it's a good way to show solidarity with someone you care about, to let them know they are not alone.
