'Sharknado 3 Is The 'Worst Movie You've Ever Seen"

by Sofia Barrett-Ibarria

David Hasselhoff knows what you think about Sharknado. Actually, he agrees with you. The former Baywatch and Knight Rider actor sat down with HuffPost Live to talk about his new "Hoff Zombie Beach" iPhone game, his upcoming movie Killing Hasselhoff , and his role in the third installment of the famously awful franchise: Sharknado 3. Hasselhoff, aka "The Hoff," proudly admitted that Sharknado is the "worst movie you have ever seen," and he doesn't think that's a bad thing. "I'm so honored to be in Sharknado 3," he told HuffPost, adding that he "laughed for three days" after he finished shooting the movie. According to Hasselhoff, that's the whole point: Sharknado is supposed to be terrible, and that's what makes it hilarious. On the set of Sharknado 3, "we would just fall to the ground laughing," Hasselhoff said, "everyone's in on the joke."

Hasselhoff added that he hopes the joke never dies, even if his character doesn't make it. "This thing's gonna go on forever" he told Yahoo TV , "they hooked me[...]I’ve never had more fun, it’s a great group of people and I think they’re still smiling because they can’t figure out why it works either. They’re hoping there will be, you know, Sharknado 100."

As Hasselhoff explains, the beauty of Sharknado is that nothing is off-limits. "I die in [Sharknado 3], but I think they love me so much that they’ll find some way to regurgitate me from some shark and bring me back." When his character does inevitably return from the brink of death, Hasselhoff also has some ideas for what could happen next. "I think it could be like Hoffnado next year instead of Sharknado. It’ll be Hoffnado with, like, thousands of Hoffs."
