Emilia Won The GoT Premiere

by Sienna Fantozzi

April 12th can't come soon enough. It might still be a few weeks off, but the Game of Thrones season five premiere was held on Monday night in San Francisco, and the cast's bold fashion choices solidified that they can do theatrical on the red carpet just as well as they can onscreen. The fiercest one of all, though, was definitely Emilia Clarke's Alexander McQueen 'GoT' premiere gown, but would you really expect anything less from the Mother of Dragons?

Clarke walked the red carpet at the San Francisco Opera House in a seriously head-turning dress. The black, floor-length McQueen gown was satin (and seriously, that is one hard fabric to pull off), with short sleeves folded in a geometric design that gave off an elegant yet don't-mess-with-me kinda vibe that was totally worthy of a Khaleesi.

With a thick black belt, a side slit to show off some leg, and strappy heeled sandals, the 28-year-old actress showed us how an LBD can make a serious statement. Emilia had her hair deeply side parted and pulled back, and kept her makeup light, though she did give off a touch of glamour from her painted red lips. It was certainly the look of the night, and I don't know about y'all, but it got me seriously excited for all the major Khaleesi butt-kicking (and epic fashion moments) that's no doubt going to happen this season.
