Yikes, Three 'Parks & Rec' Episodes Bumped

by Rachel Simon

Parks and Rec fans, take a deep breath, because this news is a bit of a doozy: the next three episodes of the show have been bumped. According to TVLine, Parks and Rec will be preempted to make way for special episodes of The Voice and Saturday Night Live .

While this may make sense for the network ratings-wise, it's thoroughly disappointing for fans of the show who had been waiting anxiously to see Leslie, Ben, and the rest of the gang celebrate Halloween, Pawnee-style. That's right — the Halloween episode of Parks and Recreation will also be pre-empted.

Instead, next week's episode, which would've featured guest star Tatiana Maslany ( Orphan Black ) in her second appearance as Tom's new girlfriend, is being pushed in favor of The Voice's Battle Rounds. On Halloween, a holiday-themed special episode of Saturday Night Live will take the 8 PM spot, and on November 7th, the live playoffs results show of The Voice will mark the third week of Parks and Rec's absence. It's going to be a long three weeks without Parks and Rec in our lives, and we're left hanging with a lot of questions. What's going to happen with Tom and Nadia? Will Leslie win her recall fight? Will we ever get to read more of Donna's amazing tweets? (Please say yes. We need to know when Leslie's being a #BitchBoss vs. a #BossBitch.) Unfortunately, we'll have to wait until mid-November to find out. Dammit, Jerry!
