I've read a lot of articles full of celebrity quotes that are intended to make me think stars are "just like us." They spew out advice that is "so relatable" and easily subtweeted and regurgitated in Instagram captions. But then there are other times, when I question whether celebrities really are like real people. Don't worry, I'm not about to quote Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle tips. I'm talking about Justin Bieber's insane quotes.

Check out these outrageous Bieber quotes about topics none of us could ever identify with, and get ready for some laughs and confusion. From talking about Anne Frank being a Belieber to having a swagger coach, you're not going to believe some of the things he's said.

Employing A Swagger Coach

Justin Bieber made headlines in 2010 when he hired a swagger coach. I still don’t really know what that means, but Bieber tried to explain it in an interview with the Kansas City Star: “I have a swagger coach that helps me and teaches me different swaggerific things to do. He has helped me with my style and just putting different pieces together and being able to layer and stuff like that.”

Hoping Anne Frank Would Have Been A Belieber

Justin Bieber visited Anne Frank’s house, and as expected, this resulted in several quotable statements, including: “Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a Belieber.” It seems kind of ludicrous, or even offensive, for Justin Bieber refer to a tragic historical figure as a potential fan, and that’s exactly how people took it.

Casually Visiting The White House

Bieber was far from down-to-earth when he talked about finding a balance between school and a career in his memoir First Step 2 Forever : “It’s kind of hard to balance school and work sometimes. But sometimes, like, if I’m going to the White House and I’m in there doing a tour and stuff, that’s like school.” Apparently it’s NDB strolling through the White House and it’s basically like going to class!

Getting His House Raided For Eggs

The Biebs opened up about his legal issues in a 2015 Men’s Health interview, and it almost sounded like he was proud in a way of egging someone’s house and having his home raided: “My house got raided at the start of last year. That’s when everything changed. Because it didn’t get raided for drugs or anything. It got raided because I egged someone’s house… I don’t know, it was really weird. No one’s ever gotten raided for eggs, ever. It’s the first time.”

Having Too Much Muscle

Apparently, its possible to be too fit. Or at least Justin Bieber thinks so. He explained this problem during a Men’s Health interview, saying, “You know I’m just getting bigger, man. It’s like, my shoulders don’t fit in some things.”

Being Flossy Not Flashy

Apparently it was a little too showy for a teenage Justin Bieber to rock “regular diamonds.” The Biebs explained in a 2011 Rolling Stone interview, “I wear black diamonds instead of regular ones because I’m not flashy, just flossssy.”

Changing Lives One Tweet At A Time

I pretend that people actually care about my tweets, but Justin truly beliebs it. The singer discussed this in his memoir, writing, “People write to me and say, ‘I’m giving up, you’re not talking to me.’ I just write them a simple message like, ‘Never give up,’ you know? And it changes their life.”

I’m not going to lie, I would be pretty pumped if my favorite celeb responded to me on Twitter. I would retweet, screenshot, and repost it. But I would never classify it as “life changing.” Then again, I’ve never corresponded with the Biebs.

Deciding On A Political Party

When asked about which political party he would support in a Rolling Stone interview, Bieber didn’t know how he felt: “I’m not sure about the parties. But whatever they have in Korea, that’s bad.” I don’t even know how to respond to that one…

Having High Self-Esteem

Most of us get nervous trying to initiate a romantic interaction, but Justin Bieber doesn’t have any insecurities. At least that’s how he came off in a 2011 Us Weekly interview: “Not trying to be arrogant, but if I walked down the street and a girl saw me, she might take a look back because maybe I’m good-looking, right?”

Breaking The Rules Of Dairy

Bieber referring to himself as a “rule breaker” is pretty much the understatement of the century. But I guess it was a little shocking back in 2012 when his first book came out: “Singers aren’t supposed to have dairy before a show, but we all know I’m a rule breaker.”

Being Chronically Adorable

During his delivery of one of David Letterman’s Top 10 Lists, Bieber humbly admitted, “As hard as I’ve tried, I don’t know how not to be adorable.” Yeah, same

Not Wanting Discipline

A 16-year-old Justin Bieber discussed his ideal world while talking to Interview magazine: “I want my world to be fun. No parents, no rules, no nothing. Like, no one can stop me. No one can stop me.” Based on the past couple years, I’m going to say that some discipline would have been a good call.

Wishing People Didn't Recognize Him

I guess it can be tough being Justin Bieber sometimes. The singer expressed his desire for privacy in a Men’s Health interview: “I wish I had the Batman thing where people didn’t know I was Bruce Wayne. Like I had a costume or something.”

Wanting To Be Quoted

In a 2015 Men’s Health interview, the Biebs expressed his desire to be heard: “Change is uncomfortable. Write that down.” It seems like Justin Bieber just wants to be quoted and considering that you just flipped through a whole slide show of his words, this desire is not at all unrealistic.
