Alexa Chung Shows Us Her Take On The Chanel Suit

by Eliza Florendo

The borrowed-from-the-boys look has always been my favorite aesthetic, from Marissa Webb's loose silhouettes to Lisa Bonet's boxy fits and belted trousers. There's something so subtly sexy about the oversized look—hello, boyfriend jeans? And no one masters this look better than Alexa Chung, who killed the fashion game in a tweed ensemble at the Chanel Paris-Salzburg 2014/15 Metiers d'Art Collection on Tuesday.

Chung wore a matching tweed blazer and trouser combination, giving the classic Chanel tweed suit a modern update. Talk about revival! Chung paired the suit with a black lace top with a lower neckline and a black patent flat—a simple, yet sophisticated look that was authentic Alexa Chung.

And in true Chung fashion, she kept her hair in her classic mid-length chop with simple, natural beauty look and a pinkish lip. Chung is the cool-girl that proves time after time that less is more, and is the epitome of a modern New York City working gal. From skinny jeans to feather shift dresses, Alexa looks elegant in pretty much everything.

Along with the tomboy chic aesthetic, Chung also seems to be a fan of the throwback look. Her wardrobe boasts denim skirts, mod-style dresses, and a patent leather black skirt. She's probably one of the few people that can still pull off the flared jean and a peasant-style denim babydoll dress.

How gorgeous does she look? And outside of the CHANEL event, a few more looks just to back up my claim that she looks pretty freaking great in just about anything.
