Erin Wasson's Texan Roots Inspired Her PacSun Line

by Marc Cuenco

Gianni Versace once said, "Don't make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way to live." It seems Erin Wasson had something similar in mind for her upcoming clothing line. Erin Wasson is collaborating with PacSun, and it will be released on May 13. According to Women's Wear Daily, the Texas-born model's 25-piece collection was inspired by her hometown roots and love of All-American style. This is the brand's first celebrity collaboration since PacSun previously launched Kendall and Kylie Jenner's fashion line in 2012.

Wasson teamed up with PacSun to design an affordable clothing line influenced by her own wardrobe, filled with Western and vintage pieces that remind her of growing up in Texas. The collection includes casual tops, bell-bottom pants, and even swimwear. The model teased some items from her PacSun line on Instagram, including a two-piece swimsuit with an American flag print. The line will be sold at 315 PacSun stores, with prices ranging from $25 to $60. Wasson hopes that her debut collection will give her an opportunity to design more clothes in the future.

“More than anything, I’m looking for this as a chance for me to build a brand and for this to be a moment of longevity,” she said. “[And] not just stick around for a couple of seasons.” Take a sneak peek of Erin Wasson's PacSun collection below:
