Can you imagine putting your face against the toilet seat in a public restroom? That’s basically what you’re doing if you don’t clean your phone regularly. Gross, right? However, according to Allure, you can give your phone a deep cleanse with Whoosh makeup remover. Yes, you read that correctly: a makeup remover for a phone, and apparently, it does a way better job than some of the strongest cleaning wipes.

Think about the places you don't take your phone to. If your answer is nowhere, that means you're like the rest of us and take your phones with you everywhere: to the bathroom in the mornings, to the grocery store while waiting in line, on the subway, to bed at night as we set our alarms—there’s no wonder why we’re getting these unwanted pimples on our faces!

According to the director of cosmetic and clinical research at New York City’s Mount Sinai Hospital, Joshua Zeichner says, “All of that dirt and bacteria can quickly break you out.” Sure, Clorox wipes do a great job at killing all those surface germs off your phone, but we’ve got to think about all the harmful chemicals that rub onto our faces whenever we answer a call. I mean, it’s definitely better than nothing, but Whoosh does the ideal job at cleaning your phone. First of all, it doesn’t have alcohol, ammonia, chlorine or phosphates in it. Secondly, just a single spritz leaves your phone with a coating that’ll make it harder for your fingerprints to smudge your screen. It’s a total win-win.
