Did Hilary Duff Copy Kylie Jenner's Green Hair? The 'Sparks' Singer Says No, But Is Happy To Be In Jenner's Trendsetting Company
We all know imitation is supposedly the highest form of flattery, but generally in Hollywood (and especially in fashion), it's just a big 'ol no-no. But not every starlet cares if they're spotted taking inspiration from someone else in the business. Hilary Duff addressed her Kylie Jenner lookalike hair, and she's totally fine with the comparisons.
Recently, Duff dyed her hair mermaid blue, causing many to wonder: did she copy Kylie Jenner? The youngest Jenner first rocked the ombre turquoise tips last year, and though Hilary's base is blonde and Kylie's is black, the ends are definitely similar. And the "Sparks" singer seems to agree — Kylie is certainly a trendsetter.
During an interview with E! News, Duff commented on their hair similarities.
"I did hear the Kylie Jenner comparisons right when I dyed my hair. I was like ‘oh no!' I didn't know she had green hair, but the color was similar… I think [Kylie's hair] looked amazing and she's a trendsetter and I'm happy to be in that company."
Honest, diplomatic, and very complimentary. Way to handle that controversy, Hil! Though Duff did admit she may not keep the dip-dyed ends much longer because they keep changing color every time she washes it. Sounds slightly problematic.
