Which Dead Celebrities Keep Rolling in the Dough?

by Kaitlin Reilly

Forbes released their list of top-earning dead celebrities (that site loves them a list!) and the stars who are currently resting in peace are still bringing in the millions. On top of the list? Michael Jackson, who brought in a whopping $160 million last year. Right behind him is the King of Rock N' Roll, Elvis Presley, who had a "so-so" year at $50 million.

Elvis is followed by Charles Schulz of Peanuts fame at $37 million, Jackson's BFF Liz Taylor at $25 million (maybe the biopic Liz & Dick had something to do with her post-mortem fortune?) and, finally, Bob Marley, with $18 million (possibly in revenue from his posters hanging in every college students' dorm).

Celebrities make money all the time by doing next to nothing. From endorsement deals to simply wearing a dress at an event, famous entertainers have their own ways of raking in the cash without having to put in much effort at all. But one thing that we didn't expect was how much certain celebs would bring in after they have already died.

I mean, last year Jackson made over $130 million more than the highest paid actor, Ashton Kutcher. And Ashton's breathing!

Sadly, this list proves that you'll probably never make as much as your favorite celebrity, alive or dead.
