No More Captain America & Lyla Garrity

Well, the world is down another ridiculously gorgeous couple: Minka Kelly and Chris Evans have broken up, for the second time. It's time to start wiping your brain of the mental image of their faces touching and replace it with, perhaps, images of Lyla Garrity sashaying away with Tim Riggins.

This is not to say that Minka Kelly has moved on to former Friday Night Lights co-star Taylor Kitsch — Kelly and Evans just announced their split, and as far as we know, Riggins and Lyla never hooked up in real life.

The split reportedly sprung out of that pesky thing called distance: She's filming robo-cop series Almost Human in Vancouver, he's directing 1:30 Train in New York City, and their upsettingly pretty faces were just too far from each other to make it work. According to the veiled and cryptic sources that always come along with this kind of story, the couple ended things on amicable terms.

This marks the second break-up of the couple; they dated for a little while in 2007, split, then got back together in September of 2012.

Evans' career is still going solid (the trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier comes out tomorrow), as is Kelly's (she played Jackie O. in The Butler). Still, though, part of us will always think of Kelly as uppity former cheerleader Lyla Garrity. We hope her eyes are clear and her heart is full even in the wake of this breakup, because we all know you can't lose with those.
