If you tune into ABC this Thursday night at 8 p.m. Eastern time expecting to see a new episode of Grey's Anatomy , you may be a bit confused. "The game: they say a person either has what it takes to play... or they don't," you'll hear Meredith intone in voiceover. The sets will be a little different. The clothes will look, oh, about a decade or so less fashionable. The Chief's hair will be about 50 shades of grey darker. "Is this a flashback episode?" you may ask yourself. Nope! For some reason, Grey's is airing at 9 p.m. this week, an hour later than normal, and at 8 p.m. you'd be watching a re-run of the Pilot.
Scandal, the show's usual Thursday night companion, is taking the week off, which means Grey's gets the coveted 9 p.m. slot that show usually occupies. This is both good news and bad news: good because 9 p.m. is a much more desirable hour, but bad because many fans are not likely to be aware of the change. So consider this me doing my part to help spread the news, like Moses from the mountaintop.
While Olivia Pope and her gladiators play hooky, Meredith and the rest of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital will find themselves in the midst of some "Crazy Love." That's the name of the episode, anyway, which promises plenty of relationship-based drama, according to the press release.
Upon realizing that Owen and Amelia have been seeing each other behind her back, Meredith comes down hard on her sister-in-law causing Amelia to rethink things. Meanwhile, Catherine springs into action when a man is brought into the hospital after his wife seeks revenge on his cheating ways.
Now, I'm all for punishing cheaters, but usually in ways that don't land them in the hospital with grievous bodily harm. Exactly how did this vengeful wife injure her husband? Let's just say that this case was probably ripped from this January's headlines and involves the offending appendage and a pair of scissors. Still unclear? Here, let this sneak peek of the episode explain it for you.
I'm not sure what to say except... Ouch. *crosses legs*
Remember, tune in this Thursday at 9(!!) p.m. Eastern to witness the fallout of this excruciatingly painful incident.
