Miley Cyrus Wears A Boho Peasant Top In Big Sur

by Melanie Richtman

It looks like Miley Cyrus might be taking a break from her outrageous, nineties-inspired style. Maybe it’s the warm weather or the excitement around Coachella this month, but Cyrus has ditched her leather pants and leotards for something a little more boho, specifically a white, cropped, off-the-shoulder peasant top, a crocheted skirt and a very trendy silver necklace.

Cyrus, who was snapped rocking this sixties-influenced ensemble while in Big Sur with her best friend Cheyne Thomas, paired her peasant top and fringe-trimmed skirt with a multicolored bomber jacket draped on her shoulders and an oversized gray beanie. Some are suggesting that Cyrus’ change in style is a result of her rocky relationship with Patrick Schwarzenegger, but that just seems ridiculous to me (and probably a little sexist, but I digress).

On the other hand, many are beginning to wonder if Cyrus is reverting back to her old fashion ways. Before Cyrus infamously chopped her locks, she was known for her hippie, bohemian style, often seen wearing fringe boots, patterned peasant tops and denim cut-offs. Perhaps Cyrus 2.0 is trying to get back to her roots—she is from Tennessee after all. Do you think she saved any of the clothes she had circa 2011? Let’s hope so.

Regardless of what she wears, you have to admit that Cyrus always has a strong point of view when it comes to fashion, which I admire. Not to mention that peasant top is absolutely adorable.

And in case you had forgotten about Miley's bohemian style, here's a refresher. Adorbs, right?
