Happy Ben and Jerry's Free Cone Day, everyone! If you're like many of us, you weren't actually aware it was Free Cone Day today until you logged onto the Internet this morning — which undoubtedly left many asking the same question: Where can I get free Ben and Jerry's ice cream on Free Cone Day? Well, I have good news and bad news. Because I have always been a proponent of ripping the Bandaid off quickly, let's go with the bad news first: Not all Ben and Jerry's Scoop Shops participate in Free Cone Day. Sad, right?
But hey, the good news should help balance the bad news out a little bit: The Ben and Jerry's Scoop Shops that don't celebrate Free Cone Day are few and far between. There are somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 Scoop Shops in the continental United States (by my count, at least — it's not an exact figure, though, so don't quote me on it), and only 11 will not be holding Free Cone Day festivities today. That's small potatoes in comparison, so hoorah for that, right?
Here — to make things a little easier for you, I put together a complete list of non-Free-Cone-Day-celebrating Ben and Jerry's Scoop Shop locations. If your favorite Ben and Jerry's is on this list… well, you might want to look for a new one today. But that's easy, too — all you have to do is visit the Scoop Shop Locator on Ben and Jerry's website and either take a look at the full list of Scoop Shop locations, or input your address and tick the “Participate Free Cone Day” box in order to pull up the nearest shop gifting free ice cream to the masses today. Easy peasy, right?
So again, if you usually go to any of these 11 Ben and Jerry's Scoop Shops, they are not participating in Free Cone Day today. Consider yourselves warned!
