The 65-year-old singer and his girlfriend, Alexis Roderick, are expecting their first child together, Joel's rep confirmed to People. The baby is due this summer, and per a source who chatted with People, it might just be another girl for Joel.
The hit song maker, known for "Piano Man," "Uptown Girl," "We Didn't Start The Fire," and "The Longest Time," among many, many other favorites, is already a dad to daughter Alexa Ray from his previous marriage to supermodel Christie Brinkley. Ray followed in her dad's footsteps, as she is also a singer/songwriter. Hmm... it sounds like there is a good chance Joel's second child will also inherit his musical skills.
As for Joel and Roderick, they've been together since 2009. Like her boyfriend, Roderick is also quite talented, and is an equestrian and former Morgan Stanley executive.
It appears the couple are thrilled to be expanding their family. According to People's source, "Billy is thrilled to become a dad again." Other than that, Joel's rep shared that any further pregnancy details are being kept a secret until the child is actually born.
