Ryan Reynolds seems like he's just having the best time on the set of Deadpool. He's been tweeting up a storm from the set of the Marvel superhero flick that's aiming for a 2016 release, answering fan questions and posting photos from the production. Reynolds commemorated the half-way mark of filming by tweeting a behind-the-scenes selfie from Deadpool, bloody face and all. "Officially halfway through production on #deadpool and I feel fine," he tweeted. "The other guys? notsomuch." And I must say, he looks mighty sexy after all that beating of the other guys.
In the photo, Reynolds is covered what I presume to be fake blood on his face, facial hair, and down to his shoulders onto a white tank that reveals his muscular arms. Most of all, though, the actor is wearing a satisfied smile. He just seems like he's having a blast on the set of Deadpool, which is currently filming in Reynolds' own hometown of Vancouver. And if this is what Reynolds looks like at the mid-point of shooting, what's he going to come out looking like by the end?
For those who don't know, Deadpool is an assassin from the X-Men universe with accelerated healing abilities and a twisted sense of humor, nicknamed the "Merc With a Mouth."
Don't be fooled, though. This is Deadpool out of uniform. Earlier this month, Reynolds gave fans a first look at the hero's costume with a photo that mimics the old Burt Reynolds bear-skin rung photo. "With great power, comes great irresponsibility," he captioned the photo.
It's not only the uniform that you should be excited about for this movie. Reynolds has described it on Twitter as, "There will be blood. Guns. F-bombs. And graphic, expertly lit French Unicorn sex." How can you turn that down?
