Meet Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" Collaborator

Seasoned host and general life hero Scarlett Johansson returns to SNL this Saturday, with musical guest Wiz Khalifa. With that combo, SNL has representatives from the two biggest movies of 2015 so far. Johansson is dragging bad guys all the big screen (and still not being included on the merch) in Avengers: Age of Ultron, of course. Khalifa, meanwhile, is hanging out on top of the Billboard Hot 100 with his single "See You Again," the emotional Paul Walker tribute from Furious 7. But his isn't the only voice on that track. Those sweet, Sam-Smith-esque vocals on the tear-jerking hook belong to 23-year-old Charlie Puth, who'll be performing with Khalifa on SNL. I did a little digging on this guy, and I guarantee SNL won't be the last you see (or hear) of him. Don't you love it when you get on board with an artist before they totally blow up and then get to lord it over your friends when they do? It's that thing.

So, here's the deal: Puth is in the early stages of what promises to be a career studded with huge achievements, and he's already got more writing and producing credits than artists twice his age. He's worked with big names like Meghan Trainor, Jason Derulo, and Stevie Wonder (just a legend, NBD); and that #1 single he's featured on? The Jersey native also co-wrote and co-produced it. Feeling lazy and unaccomplished yet? Me too. Here are some more important facts to know about Charlie Puth:

First Thing's First...

Got it. That would have been embarrassing.

Behold, The Power Of YouTube

Puth started posting covers and original songs on the site, and quickly built up a significant fanbase. That fanbase includes Ellen DeGeneres, who invited him on her show to perform his take on Adele's "Someone Like You." (And she brought him back recently to perform "See You Again," aw.)

Currently Dying Over This Sexy, Soulful Single Featuring His Pal, Meghan Trainor

My prom was such a joke compared to this one. But for serious: just try not to bop along in your chair to this old-school groove. Puth is supporting Trainor out on tour this summer, so you've got plenty of opportunities to hear "Marvin Gaye" live.

Yes, That's A Super Cool Scar On His Eyebrow

Chicks dig scars. Everyone digs scars. Uniqueness for the win.

Did I Trip And Fall Into The '60s? This Song Is Amazing

I'm obsessed with Puth's chill and lounge-y vibe, especially on this brand new track. He's like a voice out of time.

His E.P. Is Out Right Now For Your Listening Pleasure

Once you've exhausted poor Hulu's rewind feature on that SNL performance, you can load up your music library with even more Charlie Puth tracks.
