Fans may still be recuperating from the news that Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder secretly got married last weekend. Sure, everybody knew about the engagement, but they definitely kept the ceremony under wraps. Despite how some Vampire Diaries fans want Somerhalder for themselves, the fact that these two seem super happy together is undeniable! Case in point: Nikki Reed shared a photo from her and Ian Somerhalder's honeymoon and it's ADORABLE.
In the Instagram shot, the two are posing on the beach in Mexico. The caption reads:
Salty...sandy...sticky...sunburned. The best. I love this human. My human.
Everything about the photo is perfection! And hey, if you can get sunburn and still smile about it, that's how you know you're having a great time. According to E! News, the newlyweds hung around Mexico for their honeymoon, before hopping on a plane to Brazil on Friday.
The Brazil trip may seem like a continuation of the vacation, but it's actually for work! Somerhalder joined his Vampire Diaries co-stars to promote the CW show at Vampire Attraction Con in Rio de Janeiro. Still, with the beautiful view that Reed posted, I'm sure they'll be enjoying the weather and beach there too.
