Which Robert Pattinson Movie Defines You?

by Jennifer Still

I know Robert Pattinson gets a lot of flack because of the whole Twilight thing, but look, guys, it's over. The final movie in the trilogy, Breaking Dawn - Part 2, came out three years ago, and besides, he's done more than 20 other movies in his more than decade long career. Thankfully, it seems he's finally starting to get the credit he deserves as an actor, as he continues to take on more diverse roles and explore complex (and less sparkly) characters. Sure, there's nothing wrong with enjoying a little Edward Cullen, per se, but if that whole thing isn't really your bag, don't worry — he's got plenty more movies to choose from.

Pattinson fans come in all forms — some of us have loved him since his Harry Potter days (Cedric + Me = 4 Eva), while others really only fell for him once they saw him in Water For Elephants. Thankfully, the varied projects he's done mean there's a little something for everyone. He's done romance, biography, drama... a little of this, a little of that. But which Pattinson film we love most says a lot about who we are as individuals (shh, it's scientific!), and if you'd like to know what your favorite says about you, you've come to the right place.

If Twilight is your favorite...

You probably read Twilight ironically, and loved it because it was so badly written that it's like it circled right back around into being good because of it. You wouldn't tell anyone, but you likely had a few weirdly erotic dreams about Edward Cullen, so when Pattinson was cast in the movie, you just had to see it since you'd already spent so much time on the books and all. You still catch the reruns of the trilogy on TV sometimes and watch it just for the nostalgia factor.

If Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is your favorite...

Harry Potter fans in general are imaginative and hopeful about the world around them, so that likely describes you if Goblet of Fire has your heart. It's the point in the HP world when it started to get REAL, if you know what I mean, and the fight between good and evil truly took off. Pattinson wasn't what drew you into the movie initially, but he's definitely one of the reasons you love re-watching it, just to get a few glimpses of Cedric Diggory before his (SPOILER ALERT!) unfortunate end.

If Maps to the Stars is your favorite...

If this dramedy (that's a combination of drama and comedy, of course) is up your street, you've likely got a bit of a dark side to you and this movie satisfies it. It's not too twisted, but has just the right amount of "WTF???"-ness to it to keep your attention and also, Julianne Moore is in this, so you're generally someone with good taste in entertainment.

If Little Ashes is your favorite...

You're a die hard Robert Pattinson fan if you've sought out Little Ashes, considering this movie came out in such limited release. You're also likely pretty arty, both literally and metaphorically, since Little Ashes is all about Salvador Dali's life and artistic career. You probably consider yourself a Pattinson purist because not many people can say they've seen this one, or have even heard of it.

If Water For Elephants is your favorite...

You're a hopeless romantic in the most classic sense. You love period pieces, animals, grand love affairs and all that jazz. It's always a movie you pop on when you feel like you need a good cry (along with The Notebook and A Walk To Remember, of course) and you dream of one day finding your Jacob, too.

If Cosmopolis is your favorite...

You're a fan of thrillers and like things that keep your adrenaline pumping at all times. You likely get bored easily and want to be entertained, but you have high standards and don't just find anything amusing. You prefer your men dark and mysterious and probably think Pattinson is sexiest in Cosmopolis.

If Remember Me is your favorite...

Not only are you a hopeless romantic if you love this Pattinson movie the most, you were also probably a pretty big Lost fan and tuned in partially to see what Emilie de Ravin is up to these days. You're also big on sentimentality and have likely been through some Serious Stuff in your life, making you really empathetic and easily moved by the troubles of others. That's a compliment, by the way!
