Paula Deen Will Try to Talk to Matt Lauer Again

Embattled Food Network TV personality Paula Deen is scheduled to talk to Matt Lauer on Today Wednesday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It will be less than a week since Deen was supposed to appear on the morning program after coming under fire for admitting to having used the n-word in a deposition related to a recent lawsuit. The day of the interview, Deen canceled her appearance, and later issued an apology to Lauer — and to family and friends — for her remarks.

The apologies weren't enough, however — less than an hour after Deen's second apology hit the Internet, Food Network announced it would not be renewing its contact with the television chef.

Expect the interview to be served with a side helping of crow.
