See Selma Blair As Kris Jenner

First we all fell in love with uber-hit podcast Serial; then we all obsessed over every detail of HBO's horror documentary The Jinx. Now, with these new behind-the-scenes photos of Selma Blair and David Schwimmer as Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian (respectively) for their roles in American Crime Story: The O.J. Simpson Trial, it looks like there's even more true crime media to get excited about. As previously reported, Ryan Murphy's new anthology series American Crime Story is based on some of the most heinous crimes in American history. The first season of ACS will chronicle the lives of everyone involved with the O.J. Simpson murder trial — in and out of the courtroom — including Jenner, who was married to Kardashian at the time.

Granted, I was only seven years old when the Simpson trial was happening, but, I have to admit, I was pretty stunned to find out how heavily Kris Jenner was involved in this case. For those not in the know: The Kardashian family matriarch was good friends with Nicole Brown Simpson — the wife of O.J. Simpson, whom he was accused of murdering — and Jenner's husband, Robert Kardashian, was one of O.J. Simpson's lawyers.

American Crime Story is shaping up to be a worthwhile series to tune in to, especially as we get more and more news about the cast and what to expect. While it's still unclear what the tone of the show will be exactly (camp horror? courtroom drama?), here's everything we know about this show so far:

Kris Jenner Initially Had Mixed Feelings About The Show

According to ET Online, Jenner wasn't totally enthused with the idea of Murphy recreating the infamous murder trial at first, but now, she seems to have given the show a de facto blessing. In addition to posting the above selfie with Selma Blair to Instagram, David Schwimmer told AP that he had a personal conversation with Jenner for hours about his part in the show. "She was very generous with her time," said Schwimmer, "just telling me about who Robert was." Sounds like she supports it now!
