Anna Kendrick's Being Even More Awesome, Guys

by Loretta Donelan

Still high off Friday's release of Pitch Perfect 2? I don't blame you — and I also won't judge your plans to go see it in theaters about 15 times, because I'm a firm believer in following your dreams, and also that sounds awesome. However, in between at least one of those screenings, I definitely recommend you take a moment to check out Anna Kendrick's Pitch Perfect riff-off on The Late Late Show With James Corden, which took place Friday night, because it's amazing. In true Pitch Perfect fashion, the late night host and the singer/actress took to the stage to battle it out in a riff-off, aided by a cappella group The Filharmonic.

While both held their own, (spoiler alert) Kendrick won — surprise, surprise. Seriously though, do you remember a time before celebrities had to prove they were endearing by singing or fake singing in a charmingly competitive manner on TV? There are definitely some celebrities sweating nervously on their couches, hoping that they won't be asked to become a triple threat on late night TV.

Kendrick, however, always seems game. She had the unenviable task of following up One Direction — the newly shrunken boy band made their first appearance without Zayn Malik on Corden's show the night before — and she certainly rose to the challenge. She's got the pseudo-cocky thing down pat, which is always pretty adorable. As she and Corden battled it out with some *NSYNC and Ludacris, it was clear that she was in it to win it.

Here are the best moments from her appearance.

When Kendrick Interrupted Corden's Monologue

"Hey Corden!"

When She Challenged Him To A Riff-Off

And he acted all surprised.

When He Put On His Personalized Track Suit

Very necessary.

Bye. Bye. Bye.

So much attitude.

Kendrick's Flawless Transition

"Get out the way!"

The Number Of Times She Checked Her Nails

Classic blasé tough girl move.

"Love is a Battlefield"

She really nails it.

This Look Of Worry

Because he knew he lost.

Their Final Collaboration

The "Ice Ice Baby"/"Walking On Sunshine" mashup you never knew you wanted.
