Sam Smith Uses 'Love Actually' To Accept His Billboard Music Award, Melting Everyone's Hearts In The Process — VIDEO

I think it's safe to say Sam Smith is 2015's most decorated musician. He dominated not only at the Grammys but also the American Music Awards. And, on Sunday night, Smith won Top Male Artist at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. One problem: He's recovering from vocal surgery across the country in New York. But, if you think that was going to stop the young Brit from accepting his award, you'd be wrong. Smith delivered the most charming acceptance speech — well, without speech.

After legendary singer Celine Dion announced him as the winner of the award, she explained Smith's situation. Then, the camera panned upward to focus on a video "speech" by Smith. Actually, it was a thank you delivered on cards that Smith was holding, just like in the classic Christmas movie Love Actually. And, just like during that movie, my heart melted as Smith went through his thank you cards, which included messages to his fans, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, and Ed Sheeran.

If you couldn't catch it all, here is the complete text of Smith's message.

First, thank you Billboard for this incredible honor. Secondly, thank you to my amazing fans. It's times like this that I realize how lucky I am to have you in my life. Can't wait to get this surgery out of the way so I can sing my ass of for you again. And, lastly, seeing as you guys are in Vegas, Taylor... Put a 100 on black for me. Nicki... Oh... My... God... Look at her bum! And Ed... I've organized a special dance for you at Chippendales. Good night and turn up! BLBL x

While Smith and his cards are my new favorite thing, I do hope the singer heals soon so he can get back to singing. To quote Love Actually:
