7 Times Christina Was A Body Positive Queen

There's no doubt that celebrities are constantly under the microscope when it comes to being scrutinized for their appearances. From hair to fashion to weight, celebs know what it's like to be judged pretty much every day of their lives. Even if you aren't famous, there's a good chance you understand what it's like to be called out for not having the perfect body. Well, if you're looking too boost your self-esteem or just looking for some life inspiration in general, then might I recommend looking to singer Christina Aguilera, who is a body positivity queen.

Whether she's talking about sex or working her game on NBC's The Voice, Aguilera isn't afraid to speak her mind, especially when it comes to loving yourself, flaws and all. Unfortunately, the 34-year-old knows all too well what it's like to be talked about because of either a weight gain or loss, but she doesn't let it get her down and just fights back — something we should all admire her for.

From being that "skinny" girl in the "Genie in a Bottle" video to gaining weight while pregnant (Duh, she did carry two children. That tends to change your body), Aguilera has experienced her fair share of body negativity. Well, she continues to battle the negativity with her optimism. Here are seven times Xtina was all about being body positive.

In a 2013 interview, Aguilera commented about her workout routine. She said, "If I can squeeze in a workout, great. If not, that's OK, too." If Xtina says it's OK not to worry about exercising all the time, then it is.

When She Posed Nude While Pregnant

She believes pregnancy is beautiful and that we should love our bodies at every age and stage of our lives. As she told V magazine, while posing nude and pregnant, "As a woman, I'm proud to embrace my body through all stages of life, staying fearless and confident in surrendering to the unknowns the future has in store." Get it, Christina.

When She Talked Confidence & Self-Esteem

In an interview with Elle, Aguilera opened up about confidence and how anyone can achieve it. "If [being confident stems from] a self-esteem issue, it's important to embrace the things you might define as so-called imperfections — because something that you might call an imperfection, someone else might find so amazing and so beautiful," she said. "It's all in how you embrace yourself, your faults, and your mistakes in life. There's no better way to learn and become a better person than to go through those moments." Who else wants to give her a round of applause?

When She Told Everyone What Really Matters

The singer doesn't have time for judgment from others, especially when she's living a happy and healthy life with her children and partner. She told People in 2012, "I have a boyfriend that loves my body. I love my body, my son is healthy and happy and that is all that matters."

When She Stayed True To Herself

While chatting with Billboard magazine, Aguilera became a role model, once again, when she inspired others to love themselves exactly how they are. "I'm very comfortable with my body," she said. "I've always said, no matter what hairstyle, crazy look, make-up, I've always done [the] exciting thing. Whether people love it or hate it, at least I know I was staying true to myself."

When She Said What Everyone Was Thinking

During a 2012 interview with People, the Voice judge explained that while women are constantly judged, she, personally, doesn't let scrutiny define her happiness. She said, "Women, we are definitely under a microscope and under massive scrutiny. As long as I am happy in my own skin, that is all that is all the confirmation I need."

When She Released "Beautiful"

If anyone needs inspiration or to feel confident, then Aguilera's song "Beautiful" is perfect for just that. She really hit the mark with this song all about being "beautiful in every single way."
