OMG Miley Cyrus auditioned to be a coach on The Voice? Oh no, my mistake, that was just Christina Aguilera dressed up as Cyrus auditioning for the show. Aguilera has proven once again that she's the queen of impressions. The Voice coach dressed up as her favorite female celebs to poke fun at for a fun package on The Voice Season 8 finale. She took on the likes of Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Shakira, Sia, Cher, and, of course, her fellow pop star Britney Spears. It was a fun addition to the way too long finale and had me wondering what the show would be like with these stars as coaches.
Aguilera's impressions were pretty spot on. There's no doubt that Cyrus would be the crazy coach that encouraged her team members to go out there and twerk what their mama gave them. I'm sure her foam finger would even make an appearance. Aguilera took a stab at an earlier version of Gaga — but it was absolutely perfect down to the red lace body suit. All joking aside though, Gaga would make an amazing coach. Anyone down to join my campaign for Gaga 2016? You can watch Aguilera's hilarious impressions below.
I still can't get over the Sia impression. Seriously, so perfect. That little girl even looked like Maddie Ziegler — and I'm still convinced it was her. At least Sia would really echo the show's title. Since she can't see anyone, she really would only be able to judge the voice. The Cher and Shakira impressions were pretty great too, but it's the Spears one that we need to talk about. It was pretty perfect — and it seems Aguilera must have practiced it during her days as Spears' competition. Aguilera has taken on Spears before — basically because Jimmy Fallon made her — and I think The Voice needs to bring them together. Also, how great would it be to have both Spears AND Aguilera as coaches?? All my childhood dreams would finally come true.
Aguilera's impressions were all fun and games, of course, and were a good distraction during this long two-hour finale. Can't they just tell us the winner and get it over with?!
