Ramona Singer Digs Up Ancient History On 'The Real Housewives Of New York' & It Made Dorinda Medley's Birthday Dinner Way More Explosive Than It Should Have Been

For much of Season 7 of The Real Housewives of New York City, we've seen a different side of Ramona Singer. The usually aggressive and hyper-critical Housewife became a lot mellower toward her cast mates after her marriage with her husband Mario fell a part before filming on Season 7 of RHONY began. However, for some reason Ramona used Dorinda Medley's birthday dinner on Tuesday night's episode of RHONY to undo all of the goodwill she has built up among the other Housewives, and it was one of the craziest things I've seen during the season so far.

Before we get to what is sure to be the another Real Housewives vacation from Hell when RHONY heads up to Dorinda's house in the Berkshires to officially celebrate her birthday, the newest Housewife had an intimate dinner party with Ramona, Heather Thomson, and Luann de Lesseps. The ladies were drinking some vodka shots and shoveling caviar into their mouths, so you would think they would have very little opportunity to be catty with one another, let alone have the urge to nitpick at each other.

But this is RHONY we're talking about here, where any time is a good time to needle your fellow Housewives. For some reason, Ramona used Dorinda's birthday bash to dredge up past feuds with Luann and Heather, saying she has always felt like they have their guard up around her, and she can't be herself around them, whereas she doesn't feel that way about Dorinda.

As the only two Housewives currently on RHONY that have been a part of every season, Ramona and Luann go way back, and they have a history of drama that even the slightest mention of always sets one or both of them off. Ramona and Heather also famously did not get off to a great start since Ramona was very rude to Heather because she thought that big grin that's always on her face was disingenuous.

Needless to say, neither Luann nor Heather appreciated being called out by Ramona. But when Luann turned the tables on Ramona, bringing up how she had told Dorinda about the conversation they had about her boyfriend John in private, Ramona did what she always does: deflects, takes no responsibility, and then plays sickeningly nice. Ramona tried her best to make it seem like Luann was the only one talking badly about John behind Dorinda's back when she is really the Housewife that dislikes him the most.

Dorinda is no fool though, and that is one reason why I am loving her on RHONY this season. She saw right through Ramona's shenanigans and could clearly see that she was just using Luann as a scapegoat to cover up her wrongdoing. Can Dorinda be my own personal BS detector in life, please?

All of this could have actually been way more awkward. Dorinda's boyfriend John was actually not present for much of the argument since he excused himself to use the little boys' room, or possibly hit on the scantily clad vodka-and-caviar girl, as the show made it seem. He almost got into it with the other ladies, but they didn't want to involve him, and Ramona just kissed up to him instead. We all know it's much more fun to just keep talking about people behind their backs anyway.
