Stars Get Paid How Much To Wear Dresses!?

by Sienna Fantozzi

You know the fabulous couture dresses celebrities wear to award shows and events? We've always known they get to borrow them free, but as it turns out, sometimes celebrities are actually paid to wear dresses. And we're not talking chunk change, here.

During Vulture Festival's Hollywood Power Stylist Panel in New York City on Sunday, celebrity stylists including Jessica Paster, Erin Walsh, Brad Goreski and Brandon Maxwell opened up about what celebrities get paid to wear certain designer creations. Though a few did say they've never been offered money, Paster, Emily Blunt's stylist, revealed she herself has received anywhere from $30,000 to $50,000, while her actress clients have banked $100,000 to $250,000, just to wear one dress, on one night. That does not sound like a bad gig.

Paster was quick to clarify, though, that it isn't all about the money. "If it looks awful on you, $100,000 or $250,000 is not worth it, but if it looks gorgeous and this is the dress you were going to pick anyway, why not get paid?" she said. The arrangements are very informal, there's no contract involved, and the star can change her mind at the last minute (sacrificing the large check, of course).
