As far as the youngest Jenners go, it's Kylie who generally gravitates towards '90s throwback styles. Sunday night, however, at the 2015 Tony Awards, Kendall Jenner was the one channeling a very specific '90s moment: the legendary pink dress from My Date With The President's Daughter. OK, fine, so the dress Hallie wore for her night out with Duncan (aka Will Friedle aka Eric Matthews from Boy Meets World) was sleeveless and velvet, but that bubblegum color is right on the money.
Personally, I'm a massive fan of both the Jenner sisters' styles, but Kendall does tend to play it a bit safer than her younger sis. She shies away from colorful pieces, only branching out to dark jewel tones when she opts out of her usual neutral palette. Now that I've seen her in a bright pink, I don't think I'll be satisfied to see her go back to black and white. And head to toe matte sequins that kind of look like velvet in the right lighting? I mean, I don't think anything can really make a better look for the red carpet, especially paired with a gold clutch and strappy sandals.
The piece was designed by Calvin Klein, who tweeted a close up photo of the fabric hours before Kendall arrived.
Kind of cool, eh? Let's take one more look at the back.
Yep, this is perfect.
