What Does 'The Walking Dead' Cast Look Like In Real Life? The Women Of The Series Are Just As Badass Offscreen

Many TV shows seem fixated on making their leading ladies look perfectly made-up at all times, but that's not the case for The Walking Dead. There's no time for makeup and hair styling when you're fighting zombies 24/7, so it's kind of exciting when you see the women of The Walking Dead in real life looking totally glamourous. While my typical beauty routine mirrors the survivors of The Walking Dead rather than the actresses (there's no time for makeup and hair styling when you're watching Netflix 24/7), I can appreciate their red carpet style. I mean, if you're gonna walk the red carpet, you may as well do it up.

Here are 11 women of The Walking Dead who show that they clean up real nice when not busy with other things... like wielding weapons against walkers.

Maggie

Maggie has come a long way from being the girl on the farm and is one of the strongest members of Rick’s group. Though she has faced numerous hardships, love’s glow always has Maggie looking beautiful.

Lauren Cohan

In real-life, actress Lauren Cohan is pretty much a bombshell. Cohan grew up 10 minutes away from my hometown in New Jersey, but then moved to England, so she has a dreamy British accent to match her glamorous looks.

Sasha

Sasha was in a rough spot when fans saw her last during the Season 5 finale. (Hey, remember when she chilled in a pit of zombies?? Eeee.) Hopefully, she’ll come back to embrace life in Season 6.

Sonequa Martin-Green

When she’s not killing zombies or mourning her boyfriend and her brother’s deaths, Sonequa Martin-Green can let her gorgeous hair down and own the red carpet.

Tara

At first, Tara was the annoying younger sister of the Governor’s girlfriend, but she’s really come into her own with Rick’s crew — even inspiring Eugene to stop being such a jerk.

Alanna Masterson

Alanna Masterson keeps her style pretty casual in real-life, while also keeping it completely adorable.

Beth

Let’s move on from the land of the living to the land of the dead for a moment with the recently-departed Beth. The fresh-faced younger sister of Maggie always managed to find cute clothes during the zombie apocalypse.

Emily Kinney

Now that she’s off the show, Emily Kinney is pursuing a music career and thus her look is a little edgier and more made-up than it ever was on the show.

Lori

A lot of fans despised Rick’s wife Lori, but I typically felt bad for her — especially when she had to go through life with zombies while pregnant.

Sarah Wayne Callies

Lori’s death was probably the most harrowing on the show, but Sarah Wayne Callies’ elegant style will help distract anyone still mourning her loss.

Andrea

Before Andrea died on the show, she managed to accomplish the badass chic look that Maggie has going on.

Laurie Holden

Life after The Walking Dead has been kind to actress Laurie Holden, as she looked completely fabulous on the red carpet for Dumb and Dumber To.

Deanna

Alright, back to the living in Alexandria, where Deanna Monroe is the leader. (Or, uh, was? Pretty sure Rick will officially take over in Season 6.) This woman doesn’t know the hardships of the road.

Tovah Feldshuh

The Walking Dead changed Deanna to be a female part (in the comics, the leader of Alexandria is Doug) and I’m sure the performance by Broadway veteran Tovah Feldshuh has made the series’ writers very happy with that decision.

Carol

Although Carol may have been donning the gear of a friendly, suburban woman in Alexandria, her badass core can never be completely covered up.

Melissa McBride

As a rocker of short hair myself, I appreciate Melissa McBride’s short gray locks that she has in real-life, as well as on the show.

Rosita

Rosita’s on-screen fashion tends to match what her character wears in The Walking Dead comics.

Christian Serratos

In real-life Christian Serratos is still a knockout… and occasionally a blonde!

Jessie

Rick’s new love interest (I am not OK with it) suffered from domestic abuse at the hands of her now-dead husband Pete. Since she lives in Alexandria, she hasn’t been as dirty as the other survivors.

Alexandra Breckenridge

Like when she was on American Horror Story , Alexandra Breckenridge usually rocks her red hair. The actress has proven that she can manage to play both sweet and sexy, and pull off any hair hue.

Michonne

My favorite of all the surviving women is the typically stone-faced Michonne. She’s Rick’s right-hand woman for good reason.

Danai Gurira

When not on the show, Danai Gurira flashes her big, megawatt smile. She also rocks much shorter hair than her Walking Dead character. But no matter her style, it just makes me happy to see Michonne looking so happy in real life.
