Beyoncé Wouldn't Make A Good 'Avenger'
Over a year and a half later, I am still recovering from the surprise release of Beyoncé's self-tiled album. There really isn't much that Queen B can do wrong, even if she's only announcing her new vegan lifestyle. The latest news surrounding the superstar proves just how enamored the universe is with her. According to Daily Star, there is a rumor flying around that Beyonce is in talks with Marvel for a role in the Avengers sequels Infinity War Parts 1 and 2. Apparently, a Disney executive told the Daily Star, "We would love to have Beyoncé on board, almost certainly as a newcomer to the screen from Marvel's existing catalogue of comic book characters."
Bustle reached out to Marvel for comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication. I highly doubt that this rumor has any truth to it, especially considering how long it's been since the pop star was in a movie that wasn't promoting a tour. However, if by some miracle Beyoncé is in talks with Marvel, I would humbly ask her to reconsider. After all, her presence would be totally unfair to everyone involved — especially the villains because they would never even stand a chance against her. Beyoncé already has superpowers and magical abilities in the real world, and a super enhance Bey would be too much for my fragile heart.
Here are seven reasons why Queen B absolutely can never star in a Marvel film, because her super human skills are already on fleek.
1. She Has Already Mastered the Art of Camouflage
I never thought anyone could give X-Men's Mystique a run for her money, but Beyoncé obviously can. None of the the other Avengers have the ability to blend into their environments yet, so Beyoncé was be a major asset on that front. Can you imagine how convenient that would be when going against the Avengers' enemies?
2. Fire Is In Her Blood
I'm not sure who the Avengers will be up against next, but, none of them, with the exception of Thor have really mastered the art of fire. I don't know about you, but I'm thinking the ability to conger up some flames at a moments notice would be a handy skill. But would it be fair to trump the King of Thunder?
3. She Doesn't Need To Be Green To Have Superhuman Strength
Though The Hulk needs to be enraged or feel threatened to tap into his super strength. The "Superpower" songstress needs only to open her arms to shatter things surrounding her. And, because Beyoncé doesn't need to transform, none of the Marvel villains would ever see her coming.
4. Her Costumes Put Loki to Shame
Poor Loki. If Beyoncé really does nab a role in Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 and 2, his status as the best dressed character in the Avengers franchise will be a distant memory. Beyoncé can rock anything from fur coats to bejeweled leotards, so Loki's perfectly tailored three-piece suits would no longer be getting all that much attention. Loki doesn't need anymore bad luck.
5. Can You Imagine Her Genetically Modified Swag?
Genetic modification made the Maximoff twins pretty badass. Can you imagine if a lab got a hold of Beyoncé and genetically modified her already potent swag? She would be a force to be reckoned with.
6. Her Dance Moves Could Too Easily Be Transformed Into Mixed Martial Arts
With all of her back-breaking dance moves and her astounding ability to always remain on beat, Beyoncé would be an excellent pupil for Black Widow to train in the forms of martial arts. With Natasha Romanoff and Beyoncé both on the side of good, there would be little hope for any uprisings against the Avengers and, quite frankly, what fun would that be?
7. No One Would Care About the Other Avengers
Beyoncé's presence on the Avengers task force would be terrible for her comrades. While they all have amazing talents and abilities, Beyoncé would put all of them to shame. We wouldn't even need any other movies focused on the rest of the group. Beyoncé would dominate all. In light of all that, let's hope this is just a rumor, because Beyoncé is too much of a show-stopper for an ensemble film like Avengers.
