5 Ladies Who Rocked Givency's Menswear Show
Men's Fashion Month just got a little more fierce, and the Givenchy's Paris runway proves it. Kendall Jenner walked Givenchy's menswear show along with eight other fabulous women, who strutted their stuff alongside the men. Women on menswear runways might not be a new trend this season, but I'll never get tired of it.
According to The Cut, Riccardo Tisci handpicked some of his favorite female models to walk in his show. And the designer certainly didn't skimp on talent. Including Jenner, he had a handful of female models grace the runway in heavily accessorized, sheer dresses that fit in perfectly with his menswear designs. Dressed in both hard and soft color palette, the women were all outfitted in black headbands and hoop earrings as well. Their heavily winged eyeliner brought a feminine touch to these fierce looks, but they managed to fit right in with the men, who wore skirts and sequined pinstripes.
Gender-bending is one of the biggest menswear trends this year, according to Refinery 29, and plenty of designers have included both male and female models on the same runway in recent seasons. I'm glad to see fashion moving in a more genderless direction, and with the rise of androgynous fashion, it comes as no surprise.
Sorry guys, but the women walking the Givenchy menswear collection completely stole the show. Shining bright in the layered accessories and sheer pastel gowns, all eyes were on them. There's no better way to end the show than with a bang, and these ladies did their job perfectly. Check out the women on the Givenchy runway below.
1. Kendall Jenner
Going braless with a dose of '20s fringe, this reality star-turned-model looked fierce in a pink sheer dress.
2. Joan Smalls
Working the runway in a pinstriped suit that matched the men, Smalls was as fierce as ever.
3. Candice Swanepoel
In a look similar to Jenner's, Swanepoel made this sheer, collared dress seem wearable.
4. Irina Shayk
Overalls never looked so chic.
5. Naomi Campbell
Rounding out the show in a pinstriped blazer and chained top, Campbell was the cherry on the top of a fabulous presentation.
