Kate Moss Is Repping KOSE Brand Cosme Decorte & It's A Great Move For The Modeling Legend
Kate Moss has leant her considerable modeling skills to high-profiles cosmetics lines all over the world — in most recent years, she's been the face of everything from Dior Addict Rouge and luxury fragrance My Burberry to lipsticks of her own creation for Rimmel London. Well, now she's expanding to Asian markets: It looks like Moss has just picked up a multiyear contract with KOSÉ, the Japanese cosmetics giant.
This marks KOSÉ's highest-profile ad campaign to date, and it's their first major bid for a more international appeal. The ubiquitous Japanese brand has many different branches, including both drugstore lines and prestige lines alike (they own everything from Softymo to Sekkisei to Jill Stuart — and last year, they acquired Tarte Cosmetics), though of course, Moss is repping their most luxurious subsidiary of all, Cosme Decorté.
Cosme Decorté is described as a high-tech skincare and cosmetics brand, and is known for their innovative moisturizers, essences, and serums. The new collaboration with Moss comes as a part of a new marketing push to take the brand into their 45th year (the press release jokingly referred to the partnership as a "facelift").
The ads were shot by none other than Mario Testino, and they're even more stunning than you'd expect — let's take a look!
Darn stunning, right? Of the new union, KOSÉ president/CEO Kazutoshi Kobayashi said:
It really does seem like a match made in heaven — heck, any beauty line that decides to make full-page ads featuring the glorious bone structure of Kate Moss is already a winner. Plus, this is just the tip of the iceberg — she'll also be starring in a video for the brand, to be released in August.
