Lupita Nyong'o Rocks '20s-Inspired Sequins On The Pink Carpet At Lancome's 80th Birthday Party
Since her stellar Hollywoood acting debut in 2013, Lupita Nyong'o has been delivering talent on screen and on the red carpet, even helping design some of her outfits she has worn to awards shows and events. In Paris, Lupita Nyong'o rocked a '20s-inspired yet outfit that was as stellar as all her previous formalwear moments.
Since the occasion was to celebrate cosmetic brand Lancome's 80th anniversary, it's not surprising that Nyong'o made a vintage-y choice when it came to her outfit. Sporting a fitted gown with a deep-V cut, Nyong'o sparkled on the red carpet in the most literal sense, rocking a dress completely made out of silver sequins. That's right, she made sequins look inspirational. Though many reserve sequins kept for New Years Eve outfits, Nyong'o made the sparkly embellishments look just as elegant as a classic LBD.
Okay, let's face it — it's not like Nyong'o looking good in an outfit is breaking news. But each time she graces the red carpet, she seems to shock and stun with every look. Whether she's gracing the cover of fashion magazines with her presence or just being an overall style icon, the actress can rock any kind of silhouette, color, or style, making her the very definition of flawless. And this Lancome party dress is definitely not an exception.
Take a look at the full ensemble on the red (well, in this case pink) carpet, where Nyong'o strikes a pose to show off the dress's fitted silhouette.
Since this was an event for a makeup brand, it's not surprising that Lancome took to Insta to show off the star's classic makeup. Rocking winged eyeliner and an orangey-pink lipstick, Nyong'o basically out-sparkles the dress with her luminous beauty look.
Like the rest of us, it seems she loves to play with edits on Instagram, giving us this fierce, profile pose that was edited to perfection. Rocking a simple, elegant up 'do with a headband, this photo is basically everything.
And just for good measure, check out the dress in motion. Look at that sparkle!
