Frankie Muniz is Too Young For This Health Scare

by Alanna Bennett

It's probably been a little while since you've thought about Frankie Muniz, former teen heartthrob and star of Malcolm In the Middle and such classic films as Big Fat Liar. Sadly, you are not hearing about him again right now because of some big comeback; no, that'd be because Frankie Muniz just had another stroke — his second, and at the age of 27. The former sitcom star seems to be doing fine now, but he tweeted the following on Monday morning:

Almost a year to the day, I experienced another mini stroke. Hopefully that will be the last. Miserable.

His last stroke took place last December, with him tweeting at the time:

I was in the hospital last Friday. I suffered a ‘Mini Stroke’, which was not fun at all.

It can't be fun at that age (or, actually, any age) to have to deal with something so monumentally scary health-wise as a stroke. He's also not the only celebrity who's been through something like this: Aubrey Plaza had a stroke at the age of 20 when she was a student at NYU, and has said that despite the speech therapy and anxiety she experienced after the fact it helped motivate her:

It was one of the scariest things that's happened, but it never felt as if it was keeping me from doing anything. If anything, it made me more aggressive about getting things that I want. Maybe subconsciously I was feeling it was… not a near-death experience, but it put things in perspective.

So what we're saying here is that we hope these two live long healthy, happy lives that never include another stroke. And also that they should make a movie together. Maybe another sequel to that one in which Muniz played a teen spy?
