The Most Ridiculous Rumors About Christina

Ever since her "Genie in a Bottle" days, Christina Aguilera has been plagued with crazy rumors, mostly because that's the kind of thing that happens when you're a prominent pop star and the whole world is watching your every move (and then subsequently making up lies about it). It's inevitable: With her insane success, badass image reinventions over the years and so-called diva attitude, Christina Aguilera has pretty much been a magnet for ridiculous gossip. Of course, Xtina stans can separate the fact from the fiction (and have been doing so for years), but sometimes it's fun to reminisce about those laughably outlandish rumors. And not in a let's-make-fun-of-Christina-Aguilera way — more like a people-actually-believe-this-crap?! kind of way. You know what I mean.

And like any person in the public eye, Aguilera has been faced with constant scrutiny about her image (like that rumor that she got butt implants), her sexuality (let's talk more about how she never dated Lindsay Lohan's ex-girlfriend) and, of course, her infamous "diva-like behavior", which she allegedly inflicted on everyone from Adam Levine to Justin Bieber (more on that below). If you ask me though, I personally think the craziest rumors about Christina Aguilera are the ones that are just so out there you can't help but piss yourself laughing just by seeing the headline. 1. She's dead

Truth be told, Christina Aguilera is really coming to us from ~beyond the grave~. That is, if you believe moronic and pointless Twitter death hoaxes, like the one that claimed Xtina as a victim back in 2012.

2. She got her period while performing at Etta James' funeral

It's safe to say that women everywhere cringed for days upon seeing the above photos of Aguilera singing at Etta James' funeral, which depicted a brownish liquid dripping down her legs. Fortunately for the singer (and just about everyone who felt the magnitude of that secondhand embarrassment), an insider later told Us Weekly that "[her] sweat caused her spray tan to streak." Phew.

3. She hooked up with Carson Daly and Fred Durst, as claimed by Eminem in "The Real Slim Shady"

Eminem famously rapped about Xtina performing oral sex on the TRL host and Limp Bizkit frontman in his 2001 hit, but the singer's rep slammed that pretty quick, saying, "It's disgusting, it's offensive and, above all, it's not true."

4. She and Adam Levine were feuding on The Voice

Levine and Xtina may have playfully duked it out on TV, but things weren't as bad as they were being reported.

"We bickered a little bit in the beginning, to be totally truthful, we had a little bit of a rough start, just kind of all getting to know each other," the Maroon 5 frontman told MTV in 2012. "But I love her, she's the best, and we're having a fantastic time as of late on the set. She's great, and all of that is sensationalized media BS … so don't worry about any of that."

5. She dated Samantha Ronson

7. She was fired from The Voice

This one garnered a big fat #NOPE from her rep.

8. She kissed (and then dissed) Justin Bieber

It was the sneer seen around the world. After greeting JB with a polite embrace and kiss on the cheek when he stopped by The Voice in 2012, Xtina had a look on her face that could only be described as pretty much total disgust. But apparently that's what Bieber Fever looks like when it gets ahold of you, according to Aguilera, who denied snubbing the Biebs.

I'm sure this isn't the end of the Christina rumors, so expect more fake snubs and made-up dates in the years to come.
