Amanda Bingson Stuns On ESPY Red Carpet

by Shea Simmons

On Wednesday night, Amanda Bingson hit the 2015 ESPY red carpet in a bright jumpsuit, making me even more obsessed with this body positive role model. Thank goodness for ESPN Magazine's Body Issue, which made the non-sports-obsessed world aware of the gorgeous Olympian Amanda Bingson and her body positive views by putting the strong, accomplished hammer thrower on one of the covers. While she was one of many, her cover was particularly notable as 210 pound Bingson was the only plus size woman featured in the issue. Bingson has made headlines recently not only for showcasing her cover and other photos in the issue but also for speaking out about the importance of body positivity. Honestly, she's basically already a body pos icon, and her form-fitting ensemble from the ESPYs simply further solidifies her status.

Bingson has been outspoken following her spread in the Body Issue on loving her body despite some criticism about her weight. Bingson wholeheartedly accepts her body and has fought back against previous fat shaming in her younger years, and it's her ability to not only overcome the criticism but to charge forward on a body positive path that makes her so aspirational. Oh, that and her insane athletic ability. Bingson actually broke the female American record for hammer throwing in 2013, and in 2016, she's planning to go for the gold at the Olympics.

Tonight, Bingson showed off her amazing body once again, but this time in a gorgeous coral jumpsuit on the ESPY red carpet. The accomplished hammer thrower looked beautiful with her long hair in curls framing her face and bronzed skin glowing. The coral jumpsuit showed off Bingson's gorgeous curves and featured a cool metallic belt around her waist. Basically, Bingson is not only a body positive but a stylish lady that we can't wait to hear more from.
