Audrey's Family Shows Support & 'BB' Fan Realism

by Allison Piwowarski

No matter how much you love Audrey, even those closest to her can see her flawed game play. On Thursday's live eviction, Audrey's family talked about her Big Brother 17 game. The family seemed like a wonderfully supportive group, but as fans of the show, they saw issues in Audrey's strategy, which ultimately ended in her eviction Thursday. Audrey's game is probably, at the risk of sounding dramatic, one of the worst Big Brother games I've seen in a while (and that's including Devin from BB16). But I'm glad Audrey is returning to a family with open arms... because she's going to need it. Her four weeks on Big Brother were brutal.

Big Brother spent a few minutes of the episode on Thursday on Audrey and her home life. After Audrey told the houseguests that she is transgender on Night 1, many were curious how her family reacted to her coming out. For those that follow the feeds, Audrey shared stories with some houseguests throughout her time in the Big Brother house, but for those that don't have the feeds, this was a welcomed package. As we saw, Audrey's family completely supported her transition, and her mother made a point of saying she was always Audrey. It made her eviction a little easier to watch, because I knew she'd be receiving a lot of love when she returned home.

But through all of the love and support, even Audrey's family can tell that her game was off. Just like the rest of the country that has been yelling at their TV screens for the past three weeks, Audrey's family noticed that she played this game too hard and too quickly. Her strategy was not conducive to the environment she was playing in, and in no way was she going to come out on top by lying and being dishonest with those she tried to align with.

We can't win them all, but I am glad that Audrey will be able to arrive home with a house full of people she doesn't have to lie to. She got enough of that while living in the Big Brother house.
