Their debut album, OVERSTEP, released in June 2024, contains the three well-known tracks “BADVILLAIN,” “YAH-HO (BADTITUDE),” and “+82.”

As a group that debuted with a strong girl-crush concept, their powerful dance and performance are on fire just like their name, BADVILLAIN. The visuals and performances they showcase in “+82” are mesmerizing enough to captivate fans.
Maintaining flawless vocals for such demanding routines is no easy feat. KELLY, known for her powerful voice, reveals her routine for keeping her instrument in top shape, sharing: “My throat tends to get strained easily. My throat care method includes keeping a humidifier nearby, wearing a mask while sleeping, and using a warm pack to keep my throat warm if it’s not in good condition.”
Talking about BADVILLAIN’s charms, EMMA remarked: “Each member has a unique charm of their own, but when these different colors come together, we create an even more beautiful rainbow-like charm. The special allure of BADVILLAIN is that we shine the brightest when we are united as one.”
As a group known for outstanding performances, Chloe Young shared the secret behind the seven girls’ ability to deliver such high-caliber performances as BADVILLAIN. “While the amount of practice is fundamental, what we prioritize the most is trusting each other and dancing with one heart and mind in the moment,” she says. “We believe that if each member dances sincerely, even just once, that sincerity comes together and reaches the audience. That’s why we focus our energy on that and practice diligently.
With demanding schedules, how do these young idols maintain their stamina? YunSeo shared: “I don’t have any special tricks, but whenever I get a chance, I try to close my eyes for a bit or take a quick nap! Otherwise, I put on my headset and listen to my favorite songs to heal!”
This ambitious rookie group has its sights set high. HU’E expressed their bold ambitions: “I definitely want to perform [in the Coachella Valley]. If we could perform there, it would make us incredibly happy. And I also want us to work hard and win [a music] award!”
BADVILLAIN’s ON&OFF [OFF]
BADVILLAIN is more than just their polished, powerful stage persona. There are real lives and authentic personalities behind these seven captivating women beyond their dazzling performances.
Vin revealed a glimpse into her playlist and how it makes her feel: “It fills me with a vibrant, upbeat energy that feels perfectly suited to the current weather.”
Starting with BADVILLAIN’s girl-crush concept, YunSeo shared a more personal side: “Unlike how we appear on stage with our strong image, I love laughing and being around people in my everyday life. But I think the most important thing about my personality is that I’m straightforward.” This honesty offers a glimpse into their personalities beyond their confident stage presence.
K-pop idols juggle grueling schedules, so how do BADVILLAIN members spend their rare days off? “On my days off, I often sleep in, chat with my mom, visit cafes, shop for essentials, and enjoy personal time,” says KELLY. “Sometimes, I clean thoroughly for a change of pace and indulge in shopping I couldn’t do regularly. In the evening, when we gather as a group, we enjoy discussing how we spend our leisure time.” Their surprisingly ordinary daily routines contrast with their intense BADVILLAIN image.
When it comes to her vision of the future, INA says of herself in 10 years, “I genuinely believe I will be living my best life, doing what I love with the people I love, creating music and performing. In 10 years, I envision BADVILLAIN to be an even stronger and more remarkable team than we are now,” expressing her dreams as an artist, as a group member, and as the girl INA.
With a strong image and explosive performances, BADVILLAIN emerged on the K-pop scene before their debut, capturing significant attention. They showcased a contrasting professional demeanor alongside their passion. Conversely, while composed of seven girls, their everyday lives and the more youthful aspect of BADVILLAIN offer a glimpse into an alternative side compared to their powerful hip-hop genre songs. This alternative viewpoint intrigues fans, expecting to see the diverse facets of these seven girls like a rainbow.
